Seabees Plaque Before

The Birth of the Seabees
Now to put PolyVision Whiteboard Photo Software to the test. The Seabee museum had the plaque on the wall, which told the story of how the Seabee name was born. Using my old Olympus 2.5 digital camera, I captured the Seabee plaque to my camera's internal flashcard. I set the quality of the picture to high JPG for best resolution. I was able to convert my camera's flashcard JPGs into readable images in seconds using PolyVision Whiteboard Photo. In addition, a wonderful benefit of using Whiteboard Photo in that it automatically corrected the photo image's angle. Plus, it also corrected the photo image's colors.

Whiteboard Photo Software corrected the angle of my other Seabee photograph signs. Also, I had the option of manually correcting the colors and clip the borders of my photos taken in the Seabee museum. The results were good quality printouts of the photograph signs and documents that I was allowed to take in the Seabee museum.

Under the PolyVision Whiteboard Photo Hood
I can use the keyboard Control keys to open a photo, batch control photos in the Wizard and save them in various formats. Some of the ways to view my photographs were to use the Tool Bar, Status Bar and Bounding Box in PolyVision Whiteboard Photo.

The tool that I used the most was 'Clean Photos' with Control L. The Whiteboard Photo options for background colors are white, black and green. The quality when saving my JPEG ranged from low to maximum. The window menus selection contained new, cascade, horizontal and vertical selections.

I was able to save my photographs in bitmap (.BMP), JPEG (.JPG), Targa (.TGA) and CCITT formats. Also, I could save my photos in TIFF (.TIF), Windows Metafile Format (.WMF), Enhanced Windows Metafile Format (.EMF), or Paintbrush (.PCX) formats.

Whiteboard Photo has built in filters for de-speckling images. You can rotate images in 90-degree increments plus you can make line art conversion for black and white printing. Whiteboard works with any camera or scanner through the TWAIN interface.

Shooting Tips and Whiteboard Photo's Help Selection
I darken my original photograph when thin lines disappear when converting the photo. Opposite, I lighten my original photograph when tiny spots appear in the background.

PolyVision Whiteboard Photo's Help Selection includes Welcome, and Getting Started. In addition, you have Photos help for Loading, Converting, Adjusting, and Saving Photos.

Pro Reaction
Whiteboard Photo is an excellent program for various image formats from JPEG to PSD (Adobe Photoshop format). With Whiteboard Photo, you can invert background, which converts blackboard photos for printing or whiteboard photos for high-contrast presentations. With PolyVision Whiteboard Photo, you now have the tools for picture scaling. Finally, PolyVision Whiteboard Photo has Batch Conversion Wizard for converting multiple photos.

Con Reaction
Thumbnail changes do not become the default when changing photos one at a time. Does not have a keyboard Command to 'Save As' (suggest Control, Shift S). I use Save As to save my work under different names and formats.
