DragStrip! Drag racing at its best? Sounds like the title of the National Hot Rod Association's new PC game. Or, it could be the unofficial greeting between members of that group. Or maybe it is a new "taskbar" strip for Windows that "Gates and Associates" dreamed up for us to "drag" around the screen, only after "stripping your wallet of some cash" for the company bank account. (If it is the latter, perhaps a more appropriate name would be "Strip-N-Drag.")

Actually, DragStrip gives you one-click access to all your most frequently-used files, applications, Web sites, pictures, sounds, and more, through easy-to-use desktop launching pads. With a single mouse-click, launch an application, open a default document, pass a command line to the program, and set an application's directory for opening files.

Folders and disk shortcuts on your Start Menu aren't very convenient when you need a file that may "deep" in the directory structure you have created.  DragStrip's hierarchical menus get you to the file quickly. You can easily navigate directly to any file, plus add the Network Neighborhood icon to your strip to access items stored on remote disks as well!

If your desktop is littered with lots of shortcuts and aliases, it can sometimes be frustrating to find what you are looking for, having to sort through what seems like endless folders and directories. With DragStrip, you have one-click access to anything on your computer. You'll work faster, smarter and better, because DragStrip gives you a place to keep everything you need handy, yet tucked neatly out of the way. Just click 'n go to get what you want!

Customize DragStrip to suit your working style, the only limits are your own imagination! Unlike the Windows Start Menu, DragStrip allows you to configure the behavior of your buttons directly from the strip. Organize items on your strips by document type, project or user, application, photos, web sites, E-Mail addresses and more. Or you can organize by any combination, it's up to you! Add, remove and rearrange items with just a drag and drop.

You can also save screen space with small icons. Display your strips vertically or horizontally. List with names or without. Color-code your strips for quick visual reference and more! Easily change your strip's position, colors, icon size, text, and more! DragStrip gives you the power to create a custom desktop geared to the way you work.

If you work on multiple projects simultaneously, or have several users on one computer, then create a strip for every purpose. Since strips are simply like documents, you can have numerous strips open at once. For shared machines, strips in DragStrip are like having a custom Start Menu for each user. Organize your stuff the way you want!

Download DragStrip's documentation for more details or a "Trial Version" from the web site, and check it out for yourself. It lists for $20 ($14.95 for download), but if you try it I think you just might like the program. If you buy and don't like it, the company offers a 30 day money back guarantee.
