I have found a "Shareware" package that has to be tried out! I came across ESA while doing a search on the Internet for quotation software. The Internet is a great resource, but that is a whole article in itself, this article is about ESA so let me tell you about ESA. This software package is by AGILE Computer Enterprise and comes to us
from "The Land Down Under", Australia. I have been using it for a while
now, and put it through all kinds of tests and it performs very well. The
software is designed for you to serve your customers even better by allowing
you to give quick and accurate quotations. The software is loaded with
Computer business data because it is based on a computer business, but
it can be customized to fit your needs. Considering my observations you
could set this up for many different types of businesses.
What ESA it doesESA has 2 main parts. One part is the program, ESA, to make the quotations and the other is called the Editor for ESA where you change the data, like making descriptions and prices' changes. The quotation is filled in by selecting the components and the sales staff is quickly provided a price. The customer can change any component, make the change and the price is recalculated. The "Price Level" feature is very good, and it applies to the whole order. You can set the Electronic Shop Assistant with a Standard Order, then your items on each line can be Upgraded with a couple key strokes. I prefer to leave each line blank and fill them in as I go. You will find that the ability to customize ESA is key to making it work so well. When you print out a quotation, you can have your logo print on the quotation, that is an added plus.OverallESA is a program that is priced well and really adds to your productivity. The company has been real receptive to comments, and through those it will be even better with each update. If you think that you would even benefit a little, check it out. The shareware version is fully functional except you can not put in your company name, other than that everything works.SupportThe e-mail support was helpful. I had a few questions and observations and they were always handled in a professional manner. Remember the time difference, 15 hours earlier, my answers sometimes came back the same day. This is a "Specialty" type of software, but with our diverse group
of members I am sure some of you can use ESA. I was not able to find any
other product that would fit my requirements and at such a reasonable price.
