Franklin's activities include some traditional favorites such as matching, puzzles, coloring, and dress-up. You can dress Franklin as an astronaut or pirate and use secret code paints to color by number, letter or shape. The remaining activities are a little less traditional, but loads of fun. Help Franklin navigate a maze to pick-up dinosaur bones but watch out for the snakes, buzzards, and alien space ships. Jump logs to cross a river and help Franklin catch a frog that has stolen his cap. All activities have 3 difficulty levels to challenge a broad range of ages. Franklin's includes a great card maker that allows children and parents to make cards for every occasion. With lots of graphics, borders, ready made text, or write your own phrase, this card maker is easy enough for younger children and flexible enough for older children to enjoy. You can also enjoy Franklin with a friend. There are three two player games, including Slappy, Match Up, and Fly Pie. In Fly Pie you move around a board collecting flies. The first player to catch five flies and return to Franklin's house is the winner. If you hurry Franklin's mother will make you a fly pie. Franklin's is available on CD-ROM for Windows or Macintosh. The Windows version requires a 386SX or better with 8MB of RAM recommended (required for Windows 95), SVGA Monitor and a Sound Blaster compatible sound card. Macintosh users need an LCIII or better with 8MB of RAM recommended, System 7.1 or higher.
