Shop Pro 4 is a very powerful tool for general graphics design and for
web page graphics.
This program is very easy to use and has a very easy to use toolbar. Paint Shop Pro allows you to paint, draw, color and more in the same area unlike some programs that require you to go either to a different screen or a whole different program altogether. Paint Shop Pro enables you to pick the size of the canvas you wish before you draw, instead of having to go through the troublesome task of resizing your graphic after you do it and then also gives you the option of zooming in if you need to look at the graphic closer as you draw it. Paint Shop Pro comes with some really nice drawing tools, besides the standard pen, pencil and Marker it also has crayon, chalk and charcoal which really let's the artist really use their imagination further. Paint Shop Pro also let's the graphic designer highlight or add light and different textures to their design such as giving their graphic a Hue or Brightness which gives the graphic a different light spectrum or shading. The adding and removing of text is easy also Just type what you want added in the Text box and in the type of font you want and it's done and it is easily moved around the graphic for placement or arranging. I did have some trouble with the Highlight and shading capabilities because Paint Shop Pro uses a clock or dial method which shows the highlight in the graphic, but this can be easy learned with some practice. I was really impressed with the power and the flexibility of the program and I was really happy staying in the same screen and program to do everything in one area. Even though Paint Shop Pro is a very powerful and easy to use program I have yet to find it at any computer stores, but you may DOWNLOAD a 30 day trial version at the JASC Internet site.
