Descent
a CD ROM game review by Kirk Crowder

[Descent screen] Descent is an action/arcade game. The cd rom version for dos, which I am reviewing, must be loaded on to your hard drive to be played. I found this game fascinating in that it really causes you to be immersed once you get it going. The second time I played it I was playing for about 45 minutes and it seemed like about five minutes had passed. It requires dos 5 or higher and at least a 386/33 or faster computer. You only need 4 megs of ram to play Descent.

Interplay did a really good job on this game . It was easy to set up, easy to start playing , and I was on level 3 the first day. I ran Descent in Windows 95 dos mode on my AMD DX4 120 with 16 meg of ram system and it played wonderfully. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys great arcade action with splendid graphics and 3d realism.

Descent can be found on the Internet at http://www.interplay.com. A shareware version of the game is available for downloading. There is also a Descent newsgroup, alt.games.descent, and many, many Descent pages hosted by fans of the game. Find them by doing a search for interplay + descent.
