As it stands right now, the October meeting will be on the usual date and time. I am planning on doing a presentation on the new IPad and IPhone. A couple of people were asking questions about it, so I thought that it would make for a decent presentation subject. I will be bringing a couple of IPads along with my IPhone, and the appropiate software to demonstrate how easy it is to load it up with books and reference materials, plus add some apps to the screen board. Should be fun.

Be sure to watch here for any last minute announcements.

Ya'll take care

The March Meeting will be held on Monday March 12th at 7:00 PM and the ususal place. I am preparing a presentation on the new Windows 8 operating system, and might even have a system running Windows 8 for everyone to see.

So, barring any unforseen problems, I hope to see everyone there. Be sure to check back for any last minute announcements.

Ya'll take care - David

Folks, I am going to have to cancel the December meeting scheduled for Monday. It appears that I will be travelling again, and I do not think that I will be home in time to hold the meeting. In any case, we WILL have a January meeting, as I have tentatively setup a Presenter. In addition, if you have not already done so, be sure to take a look at the latest issue of the PC Alamode. I trust you will find it interesting

I had hoped to be able to say this in person, but I truly hope that each of you have a very Merry Christmas, and a safe and Happy Holiday Season.

Ya'll take care - David

Guys, I screwed up. I thought that Monday evening was the 1st Monday of the month, and have not worked on the Alamo PC meeting. However, I will be at the meeting place and I am sure that we can find something to talk about.

I have uploaded a new edition of the PCAlamode. It is located in the PCAlamode section.

Yall, take care.

It appears that I will be in town for the meeting on Monday evening. I do not have anything in particular setup, but I should be there at the usual time of 6:30 or so. As always, be sure to check this website to make sure that nothing has changed, but as of now, I'll look forward to seeing everyone there.

I have uploaded a new edition of the PCAlamode. It is located in the PCAlamode section. However, as of right now, the web server is experiencing some problems, and it will not download. Hopefully this will change in the next day or so.

Ya'll take care. - David

Sorry for the alt notice, but it appears that I will be travelling tomorrow and Tuesday in Houston. I received the call yesterday, but it was not a "for sure" until just now. When I return later this week, I will see about scheduling and meeting for later this month, so keep an eye on the website. BTW, I am trying to obtain a copy of Windows 8 for us to "play with".

Ya'll take care. - David

Sorry for the late timing in getting this posted. I will be at the meeting site on Monday evening at the regular time. Unfortunately, I do not have a presentation set up, but we can, however see what turns up.

There is a new edition of the PCAlamode posted in the PCAlamode section of the website. It turned out quite good, so enjoy it.

Ya'll take care and I'll see you Monday evening - David

I am afraid that I am going to have to cancel the April meeting. As some of you know, I have been haveing a hard time with a virus that I picked up somewhere. I originally thought that it was allergies, but a vist to the doctor informed me that it was a virus that eventually led into bronchitis. At least I am on the better end of it, finally. In any case I have been unable to arrange something for the meeting on the 11th. I apologize for the lateness in putting this message up, but i was still trying to get something arranged as of this afternoon. Hopefully, we will be able to get together next month, and I will dutifully try to have something lined up. Ya'll have a merry Easter Holidays. - David

The March meeting will be held on March 14th and will be at the usual meeting place on Whirlwind. However, please watch this area of the website for updates, as I have been doing a lot of travelling, and may not know until the last minute that I have to go out of town. I am trying to get a webinar set up, and will be working on the internet connection at the meeting room to accomplish this. I have posted a new issue of the PC Alamode for your enjoyment. It is in the usual place in the PC Alamode section of this website. Ya'll be safe, and I'll see ya on March 14th. - David

The February Meeting will be on February 14th and will be at the usual meeting place on Whirlwind. The subject has yet to be determined. A New issue of the PC Alamode has been posted in the PC Alamode section of this website. Ya'll enjoy - David

As most of you know, the Alamo PC Organization has significantly reduced in size. Although the organization has been pretty much dead for the past few months, there are a few key people that have been working behind the scenes to try to resurrect and revive the group. Although it is a slow process, there has been a lot of headway made.

For example, we are happy to be able to again offer our members a chance to download the award winning PC Alamode magazine. Even though it is somewhat reduced in size, it is still packed with great articles and tip and tricks for optimizing your PC's and just plain having fun.

Starting in the 1st quarter of 2011, we will again be having PC based presentations at our monthly meetings. Some will be live, while others will be "net" meetings. Regardless of the type, they will all prove to be benefitial to the attendees.

So, as you can see, we want to continue the camaradie of the user group, and want you back. We are presently charging no dues, and will try to continue this policy as long as we can. However, donations are and will be greatly appreciated.

The rest of the website will remain up and accessible by all visitors, with the caveats below.

Ya'll be good,

David Steward
